LED Sign Description and Technical Features
| Applications: | The applications of both Internal and External LED (Light Emitting Diode) Displays are virtually endless. The signs are used for various uses ranging from Information Boards, Promotional Displays, Welcoming Signs, Accident and Safety Information, Directional Displays, Scoreboards to Productivity Boards. The Displays are installed in all manner of situations, Offices, Receptions, Hotels, Hospitals, Surgeries, Box Offices, Banks, Dealing Rooms, Factories, Airports, Shops, Railways, Sport Stadia, Exhibition Hire, Travel Agents, the list is endless. |
| Character Options: | Standard character heights are: 30mm, 60mm, 100mm, 140mm, 200mm and 250mm. Although Bi-Line displays will mostly show double these heights. Standard options on characters per line are: 16, 24, 32 and 40. Larger character sizes and varying characters per line are available by request. |
| LED Options and Specifications: | Standard LED colours are either Red, Yellow or Green as a single colour or Tricolour LED's are also available (i.e. all 3 colours) which can produce creative, eye-catching text and graphic effects. White and Blue LED's are also available on request (please contact us for more info on this). LED Dot size is 5mm diameter except 30mm high characters which are 3mm diameter. Standard brightness LED's have a luminance of 1000 or 2000 millicandelas and are used for semi external displays, such as windows and fully external displays. |
| Viewing Angles: | The horisontal viewing angle on internal displays is140 degrees and on external displays it is 100 degrees, although this is subject to improvement as technology moves forward. |
| Viewing Distances: | 30mm high character - Approx 12 meters indoors 60mm high character - Approx 25 meters indoors 100mm high character - Approx 35 meters indoors 140mm high character - Approx 45 meters indoors 200mm high character - Approx 75 meters indoors 250mm high character - Approx 110 meters indoor |
| Casing: | The casings are constructed from aluminium which is finished in black epoxy powder coating, anti reflective perspex in front of LED's. External displays are waterproofed to IP65 standards finished in grey. The depth of Internal Displays are 65mm and external displays are 100mm |
